Virat Kohli Becomes The First Indian To Score 9000 Runs In T20 Cricket

Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Team India captain, has added another feather to his already illustrious cap as he became the first Indian and 7th overall to breach Mount.9000 in Twenty20 cricket.
The RCB skipper achieved the feat when he scored his 10th run during the encounter against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.
Prior to today’s game, the charismatic batsman has 8990 runs in 285 games at an average of 41.05- third highest in T20 cricket- and at a strike-rate of 134.25 while representing India, his state team Delhi and IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the last game, Virat Kohli had registered another feat after he became the first batsman to score 5500 runs in IPL cricket. Last year, Kohli had become the fastest to cross the 5000-run mark in the history of the cash-rich league.
Kohli is also the only cricketer to average 50+ in T20I cricket. The 31-year-old also has 70 fifty-plus scores in T20 cricket- the third-most in the history of the shortest format of the game.
The right-hander is currently batting on 33-ball 32 in RCB’s run-chase of 197.
