Naseem Shah could not have asked for a worse start to his Austra lia tour. The 16-year old lost his mother even before he could make his international debut. But the brave pacer decided against returning home and made a big impression with his bowling on Wednesday. The highly-rated pacer lived up to promise on his first outing for akistan against Australia A in the practice match in Perth.

The youngster bowled his heart out as he troubled Australian batsmen with his pace and length. The youngster beat the edge of opener Marcus Harris on a number of occasions and even hit Usman Khawaja with a bouncer. Naseem Shah was making the batsmen dance to his tunes and could have had Harris early but Haris Sohail dropped the catch in the slip.

But Naseem Shah had the last laugh in the battle as he dismissed the left-handed batsman in the final session of the day. He had figures of 1/21 in his first 8 overs. Pakistan will be keen to see the youngster perform in the same manner in the upcoming two-match Test series.
