It would not be very wrong to say that Tim Paine makes it to the news more for his verbal abilities rather than what he does with the bat or wicketkeeping gloves on the field. Ever since the Test series against India last month, Paine has become a fan favourite across the globe for his cheeky remarks from behind the stumps.

The famous ‘babysitting’ sledge for Rishabh Pant is still fresh in every cricket fan’s mind. Tim Paine came up with yet another gem on Sunday but this time it was for his own teammate Marnus Labuschagne. The Australia captain was not at all happy with his teammate as the latter was not ready to bowl. Labuschagne had hit pads and other equipment on since he was fielding at the short leg.

And when Paine asked him to bowl, the batsman was caught off guard. He started taking off his equipment in a hurry but Paine could not stop himself from taking a dig at Labuschagne. Paine hilariously told Labuschagne, ‘you are bowling’ thrice before the latter told Paine, ‘ you told me I was done’.

Here is that hilarious clip:

Pakistan finally provide resistance:

Australia are still in the driver’s seat in the ongoing game at the Adelaide Oval but are currently being frustrated by Pakistan’s lower order. Riding on David Warner’s triple century, they declared their innings on a mammoth 589 for 3. In reply, Pakistan ended day two on 96 for 6. But Babar Azam and Yasir Shah did not the hosts make more inroads on day three.

The two added 98 runs to the overnight score before Babar was dismissed by Mitchell Starc for 97. However, Yasir remained unfazed and went on to compile his maiden century in Tests. At the time of compiling this report, Australia were 271 for 8 with Yasir and Mohammad Abbas frustrating the hosts.
