It looks like Team India players have started missing MS Dhoni now. The former India skipper has not played any form of cricket for India or for his domestic team since the end of the World Cup in July. He is unlikely to play for India any time soon.

Neither the team-management nor the BCCI has given any concrete update on his future. Recently, head coach Ravi Shastri tried to make things a bit clear by stating that MS Dhoni is likely to retire from ODIs soon but could be in contention to play the T20 World Cup if he does well in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

But barring this, there is no concrete update on how the future would pan out for the 38-year old. Things then become more confusing when BCCI dropped the World Cup-winner from central contract list. And although the contract snub does not make the veteran ineligible to play for India, it is still unclear whether he would earn another recall.

Yuzvendra Chahal missing MS Dhoni:

With MS Dhoni out of action for more than six months, not only the fans but his India teammates have also started missing him. India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was shooting for his popular Chahal TV when he recalled his senior teammate. The spinner was interviewing his teammates while the team was travelling to Hamilton for the upcoming third T20I against New Zealand.

In an emotional moment, Yuzvendra Chahal went to the back of the bus and showed the corner seat where Dhoni used to sit. Yuzvendra Chahal further revealed that no one sits at that particular spot ever since Dhoni took break from the game. The young spinner also made a cheeky comment, saying that MS Dhoni was ‘desperate’ to get featured on ‘Chahal TV’, but was not lucky enough.
