Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand was turning out to be an absolute nightmare. The reigning Champions Trophy winners were thoroughly outplayed in the One-Day Internationals, losing the five-match series 5-0. They lost the first ODI by 61 runs, second by 8 wickets, the following one by 183 runs and the last two by 5 wickets and 15 runs respectively. In most of the matches their batting failed as they suffered a humiliating whitewash on their very first overseas series since winning the Champions Trophy in June last year.

A batting failure in the first T20 International only made the matters for them as New Zealand trounced them by 7 wickets to go one nil up in the three-match series. But just when it seemed the Men in Green’s troubles in New Zealand are going to increase, they bounced back in style in the second T20I by winning it by 48 runs. With the series on the line in the third and final T20I, Pakistan’s batsmen continued their fine show, scoring  181 for 6 in the allotted 50 overs.

In reply, New Zealand started strongly and were 47 for 1 by the end of sixth over. With the game evenly poised, Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed lost his cool and shouted obscenities at New Zealand opener Martin Guptill. The incident happened when Shadab Khan was getting ready to bowl the seventh over. Prior to that, Sarfraz was seen speaking to the umpire. In the meantime, Guptill made a comment which did not go down well with the Pakistan skipper and he could not stop himself from shouting “fu** off” at the batsman.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Meanwhile, Pakistan had gone on to restrict New Zealand to 163 for 6 to win the game and seal the series 2-1.  Guptill scored a fighting fifty for his side but it was enough to help the hosts clinch a series-winning win.
