The way the game has tilted in favour of the batsmen, the bowlers have no option but to come up with different variations in order to survive. But sometimes, the bowlers overdo things and Krunal Pandya perhaps did the same on Monday during the clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai.
The Mumbai Indians spinner came up with a bizarre bowling style in order to make his mark. The style was a mixture of Kedar Jadhav and Lasith Malinga’s slinging bowling action as Krunal Pandya went really low and bowled a side arm delivery. At one stage, it looked like he might end up bowling underarm.
The delivery was witnessed on the fifth ball of the ninth over when Devdutt Padikkal was at the strike. The ball was on the pad and rushed Padikkal before the latter managed to hit it for a single.

As far as the match is concerned, Padikkal has scored his second fifty of the competition to keep Royal Challengers on course for a big score. At the time of compiling this report, the Royal Challengers were 133 for 2 in the 15th over. Padikkal was batting on 54 while giving him company was AB de Villiers who was on 17.
Earlier in the innings, Aaron Finch scored a quickfire fifty to give the Royal Challengers a good start. The Australia star scored 52 off 34 balls before being sent back by Trent Boult. Skipper Virat Kohli then failed to deliver once again and was sent back by Rahul Chahar for just 3.
