Haseeb Hameed endured a forgettable comeback to Test match cricket as he got cleaned up on a golden duck by Mohammed Siraj in the post-Tea session.
It all happened during the 15th over of the England innings when Siraj bowled a fullish length delivery on off-stump.
Hameed ended up playing down the wrong line and, as a result, ended up seeing his off-stump rattled.
Hameed had come in the Test match on the back of some good form that he had displayed against the Indians during a warm-up game.
Coming back to the Test match, England were dealt with a double body blow immediately after the Tea break as Dom Sibley once again succumbed to the leg-side ploy.
In what was an exact replica of his dismissal in the first innings of the Nottingham Test, Dom Sibley, in an attempt to flick the ball towards the square-leg ended up hitting it to KL Rahul at short midwicket.
Hameed followed suit on the very next delivery, leaving England tottering at 2/23.
Joe Root survived the hat-trick ball and since then, him and Rory Burns have kept India at bay during what is an attritional display of Test cricket.
