On day four of the Adelaide Test, Ashwin avoided shaking hands with Rohit Sharma after getting Aaron Finch’s wicket. However, Australia needs to score 323 runs to win the game and take the lead in the four-match Test series.

Meanwhile, in their second innings, India had scored 307 runs, courtesy Cheteshwar Pujara who scored another brilliant 72 while Ajinkya Rahane hammered crucial 70 runs. Moreover, Nathan Lyon was the pick of the bowlers who bagged six wickets to his name in the second essay.

No handshake celebration in Adelaide!

While chasing down the target, Ravichandran Ashwin picked up the wicket on the last delivery before tea on day four. Finch, who escaped earlier didn’t take the review, as the replays showed ball didn’t touch the bat. Meanwhile, Ashwin was successful in putting the ball to turn from rough, which ruffled off Finch’s pad and got grabbed safely by Pant.

However, as the umpire raised a finger, Finch looked puzzled and asked his partner about it. By the time, he would have gone for the DRS; the time-limit got over.

Meanwhile, after the fall of the wicket, Rohit Sharma went straight to Ashwin to congratulate him, but Ashwin didn’t realize, unintentionally though. Rohit was there to shake his hands but eventually ended up patting Ashwin’s back, as the spinner seemed to avoid the handshake. However, at stumps on day four, Australia was 101 for four, needing 219 runs to win the Adelaide Test.
