Virat Kohli was at his animated best as he led India’s chase in the first T20I against West Indies in Hyderabad. In a very rare scene, the world number one Test and ODI batsman struggled to find his rhythm early on. However, there was no looking back for him once he hit Jason Holder for a stunning six in the 15th over.

That six helped Kohli reach his fifty too. On the very next ball, he hit another four before taking on Kesrick Williams in the following over. And it is safe to say that Williams will remember that over for a long long time. With 54 needed off 30 balls, a good over from Williams would have put West Indies on top. However, Virat Kohli was in no mood to slow down as he started the over by hitting the first ball for a four.

On the next ball, he hit a six before Rishabh Pant hit another maximum on the fifth delivery as India collected 23 runs from the over. But more than the sixes and fours, what caught everyone’s attention was Kohli’s animated celebration after hitting Williams for the six.

Virat Kohli gives it back to Williams:

It was a stunning six from Kohli as he flicked the ball to cow-corner for the huge six. And as soon as the ball landed outside the ropes, Virat Kohli imitated Kesrick Williams’s notebook celebration from the Caribbean Premier League to Chadwick Walton. The fans were absolutely loving the duel as Kohli gave Williams a taste of his own medicine.

Williams has a special celebration after he takes wickets. He gives the batsmen a proper sending off by making it look as if he is noting down their name in an imaginary notebook after dismissing them. Well, Kohli did the same to him and it is safe to say he did not like it.

Here is the video of that incident:
