Quarantine partner has become a widely-used term now as people across the world are confined to their homes because of the coronavirus pandemic. Sitting at their homes, people are taking to social media to reveal the names of their preferred ‘quarantine partners’.
And recently, India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal revealed the names of his teammates he would like to stay with while being in quarantine. The leg-spinner has been keeping himself busy by interacting with his fans on social media and making videos on Tik Tok.
Coming to his ‘quarantine partners’, he revealed the names during a recent interaction with TV presenter Jatin Sapru. The leg-spinner started by saying just how desperate he is to take on the cricket field once the lockdown is lifted. Cricket action all around the world is currently suspended due to the pandemic.
In normal circumstances, Yuzvendra Chahal would have been playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The thirteenth edition of the league was scheduled to start on March 29. However, the BCCI had to suspend the league till April 15 in the wake of the outbreak.
Chahal, nonetheless, revealed that Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav would be his preferred partners during the lockdown. “I will choose 2 guys, Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav. Lock me down for a month then,” revealed the India star.
He further spoke on how he is missing playing cricket. Yuzvendra Chahal last played a competitive game during the tour of New Zealand. He said that he has been missing the experience of bowling on a cricket field.
“When there is a lot of cricket to play we say ‘there is so much going on’ but we start missing it when there is no action. You will be good when you go the ground, I miss bowling, I am what I am because of the cricket only,” said the Haryana star.
