Yuzvendra Chahal Plans To Take A Step Back From Social Media Once Back To Work

Indian leg-spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the many cricketers who has stayed highly active over social media through a popular Chinese app Tik Tok. While Yuzvendra Chahal has grabbed the headlines through his antics via the app and Instagram, he asserts planning to take a step back from social media once international cricket resumes for India. He last played for India during their tour of New Zealand early this year.

Australian opening batsman David Warner is also one more cricketer, who grabbed the spotlight via Tik Tok. Nevertheless, recently, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps, one of which is Tik Tok. It has arrived after India’s conflict at the border with China which saw many of our army men sacrifice their precious lives.
Yuzvendra Chahal revealed that he used Tik Tok for fun as there was nothing much to do as cricketing activities around the globe stood suspended. Moreover, it was an exciting experience as the app gave Chahal the chance to spend quality time with his family.
“I used Tik Tok for fun. Lockdown gave me the time to use it, as there was nothing much to do. It was not specific, plus, we all were together after a long time [his family ] so it was quite an exciting experience,” the Haryana-born stated as quoted by Hindustan Times.

The 29-year old, who also posts hilarious comments on the pictures of his fellow cricketers over social media, mentioned it’s been years that he has got to spend time with his family, which he has enjoyed to maximum effect. Hence, he plans to use it to a minimum once he gets back to international duties and only goes for the app when he gets free time.
“It’s almost after 14-15 years that I am home for such a long time. I have enjoyed my family time to the fullest. I do not plan to use much of social media when I get back. At the moment am just enjoying the fun part of it . If I get free time, then I use it.If something exciting comes up, then I make funny videos,” he added.
