ICC ODI World Cup Points Table 2023
The 2023 edition of the ICC ODI World Cup has started which is taking place in India. The final of the mega event will be played on November 19 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad. A total of 10 teams have been qualified for this mega event his time around the tournament will be played in 10 different grounds across India. How can teams reach the semi-finals?
This time 10 teams are participating in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Eight teams have got places on the basis of ICC rankings, while the teams of Sri Lanka and Netherlands have got tickets for the ICC ODI World Cup after reaching the finals of the qualifiers tournament. This time the teams have not been divided into groups in the ICC World Cup. All the teams have to play 1-1 matches against each other. Each team has to play 9-9 matches and in this way, a total of 45 league matches will be played. In such a situation, it may be easy for a team that wins 7 out of 9 matches to reach the semi-finals.
Teams will also have to pay attention to their run rate. If the match is canceled due to rain or the points have to be divided among themselves, then only the team that has a better net run rate will go ahead. The team can score a total of 18 points. Let us tell you that the first semi-final will be played between the first and fourth teams in the points table, while the second semi-final will be played between the second and third teams in the points table. The winning teams will lock horns in the finals.
