Australian pacer Micthell Starc has set the stage on fire in the warm-up game of the ICC World Cup 2023. The left-arm took a hat-trick in the second innings and rattled the top order of the Dutch side at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
Mitchell Starc drew the first blood on the 5th ball of the first over. He bowled the inswinger that nipped back in late and trapped Max O’Dowd lbw. If this was not enough he then followed it with a peach of a delivery on the 6th ball of the over.
Mitchell Starc bowled an inswinger that came in and Wesley Barresi was done by the pace. The ball went through the gate and hit the top of the off stump to send the batter packing for golden. The fast bowler then completed a hat-trick on the first ball of the third over.
Mitchell Starc bowled a full and fast inswinger that was at the yorker length. Bas de Leede couldn’t get his bat down on time as the ball went on to hit low into the middle stump. Here’s the video of his hat-trick:

The ongoing game against Australia will be a great exposure and practice for the Netherlands going into the ICC World Cup 2023.
Mitchell Starc plays a decent knock with the bat that powers Australia to 166 runs
Mitchell Starc had a good outing with the bat as well and he made a handy contribution for his team with bat. The game was curtailed to 23 overs due to rain and Australia opted to bat first, Steve Smith smashed a staggering half-century whereas Cameron Green and Alex Carey played handy knocks.
Mitchell Marsh in the end scored unbeaten 24 runs off 22 balls that powered Australia to the total of 166 runs. With the ball then they picked 5 quick wickets and have put the Netherlands under pressure. Apart from Starc, Sean Abbott has picked two wickets. The Pat Cummins-led side will be hot favorites to win the tournament alongside the hosts India National Cricket Team and defending champions England National Cricket Team.
