Pakistan Cricket Team have arrived in India for the ICC World Cup 2023. The Babar Azam-led side landed in Hyderabad on Wednesday (27th October) evening after having a nine-hour layover in Dubai.

Pakistan departed for Dubai in the early hours on Wednesday and they will be having their base in Hyderabad for most of the tournament. As they reached India, they had a great welcome as many fans gathered there and cheered for them at the Hyderabad airport.

Pakistan team had a lot of security around them as they were seen leaving the airport. It is the first time in the last 7 years they have arrived in India. However, apart from Mohammad Nawaz and Agha Salman, no other player has played in India. Therefore it’ll be a different experience for them.

Pakistan team faced issues related to visas. However, they got the clearance just 48 hours ahead of their arrival in India. The delay in visas saw them canceling their team bonding trip to Dubai.

Ahead of the team’s departure to India, the Pakistan captain also talked about his excitement to play in the neighboring nation. He said that they have done research on the conditions and he is personally excited to play in Ahmedabad. He had explained:

“Although we have not played in India before, we are not taking too much pressure. We have done our research and we have heard the conditions are similar to how they play out in other Asian countries.

“I am excited to play in Ahmedabad as it will be jam-packed. I will try my best to perform up to my potential. I am not worried about my individual accolades, I want to make sure whatever I do helps the result for the team.”
