AUS vs SA: South Africa’s Predicted Playing XI Against Australia- ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Match 13. South Africa will take on Australia in their opening game of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The match is scheduled to take place at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 23. Both the teams are part of group 1 in the tournament.

South Africa won both of their warm-up matches against Pakistan and Afghanistan. On the other hand, Australia lost to India in one warm-up game but defeated New Zealand in the other. Both the teams have faced each other once in T20 World Cups before and Australia won that game. Reeza Hendricks will be the other opener for the team. Hendricks could not go big in the warm-up game in T20 World Cup 2021, scoring 7 runs in the one match that he played. However, he has had a wonderful T20I career so far playing for South Africa. He might also make it to the playing XI.

Rassie van der Dussen will also be part of the playing XI. He smacked an amazing century against Pakistan in the warm-up match. His unbeaten knock of 101 helped South Africa to crush Pakistan by 6 wickets. He is in good batting form and the team might surely pick him in the opening game.

Temba Bavuma will lead the side in T20 World Cup 2021 and hence he will be part of the team in the opening game for sure. In the two warm-up games, he scored decent knocks of 31 and 46, which proves he is able to get the runs for the team.

Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen might be another player in the playing XI. He scored 11 and 14 in the warm-up matches against Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is a good middle-order batsman for the team and will provide good support at the position.

David Miller

David Miller will be another player in the team. The team might pick him at the lower order. His ability to smack shots out of the boundary makes him a great choice for a lower-order batsman. In the two warm-up matches, Miller scored unbeaten 8 and 20.

Tabraiz Shamsi will be the spinner for the team in the match. Shamsi is the prime spinner for South Africa in T20 World Cup 2021. He bowled a spectacular spell against Afghanistan in the warm-up match. He picked 3 wickets for 18 runs in the match while conceding just 18 runs in his 4-over spell.

Kagiso Rabada is the most crucial pacer for the team in the tournament. Rabada showed a fabulous bowling performance in the warm-up match against Pakistan. He picked a 3-wicket haul while conceding just 28 runs in his 4 overs. He will surely be part of the opening game.

Anrich Nortje

Anrich Norje will be another pacer in the team. The duo of Rabada and Nortje form a very powerful pace attack for South Africa. Nortje picked 1 wicket in the warm-up game against Pakistan. He will strengthen the pace attack of the team.
