T20 World Cup 2021: Excitement Of Meeting MS Dhoni Can't Be Forgotten - Pakistan Player Shahnawaz Dahani

Pakistani fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani enjoyed his side’s win and also got to meet his ‘dream player’, MS Dhoni. The 40-year-old Dhoni is part of India’s team as a mentor for the T20 World Cup 2021.

Pakistan erased their winless streak against India in the World Cups last night in Dubai. They defeated India by 10 wickets courtesy of Shaheen Afridi’s 3/31 and their opening duo, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s heroics with the bat.

Following the conclusion of the match, there were some niceties being exchanged among the players from the two countries. Dhoni was seen having a chat with a few Pakistani players and Shahnawaz was one of them. He posted a picture with the former Indian skipper on social media with the caption:

“What a night it was, Happiness of Pakistan’s Victory and excitement of meeting one of my dream player @msdhoni can’t be forgotten.”

Earlier in the match, Shaheen Afridi ripped the Indian top-order with a brutal 3-over spell. On the back of his performance, Pakistan restricted India to 151. On a decent batting surface at the Dubai Stadium, it was never going to be enough.

Babar and Rizwan continued their brilliant form this year, stitching their fourth 100-run association this year in T20Is. They took Pakistan home with more than two overs to spare, finally claiming their long-awaited win over their arch-rivals in World Cups.
