Yuzvendra Chahal was expected to be the first choice leg spinner for India in the T20 World Cup but it wasn’t to be as an impressive performance from Rahul Chahar in the Sri Lanka tour pushed the RCB leg spinner down the order. Chahal’s performance in the last six months in the international circuit hasn’t been that great either which forced BCCI to go for the youngster. ‘
However, Yuvendra Chahal has been very effective in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 with wickets in every game and his performance has been outstanding for the RCB side so far. He has moved above in the wickets column and is looking very potent at the moment. It will not be a surprise if Chahal enters the fray again for the T20 World Cup.
