The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally made an announcement regarding the 15-member squad for the marquee T20 World Cup 2021 event on September 8 at 9:00 PM IST. The squad saw some major names like Yuzvendra Chahal and Shikhar Dhawan missing from the team. However, The biggest shocker for everybody was the exclusion of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, instead of Chahal India selected leg-spinner Rahul Chahar in the team.

In total India picked 4 batters including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav, 2 wicket-keepers Rishabh Pant, and Ishan Kishan 1 fast-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya. 5 spinners Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Rahul Chahar. 3 fast bowlers Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Overall the squad picked by the selection committee looks very strong and they have the potential to win the trophy by defeating any team in the tournament. Meanwhile, the legendary Indian skipper Ms. Dhoni will also play his part as he has been named as a mentor in the T20 World Cup team.

Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will definitely be part of India’s playing XI in the T20 World Cup 2021. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s sensational swing and Jasprit Bumrah’s deadly Yorkers will play a big role in India’s success in the World Cup.
