Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has stated that it will be a miracle to see Virat Kohli-led India National Cricket Team qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

India lost the T20 World Cup opening encounter against Pakistan by 10 wickets, and then they were defeated by New Zealand by 8 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, October 31.

India made notable changes in the team in the match against New Zealand, they dropped Bhuvneshwar Kumar and added Shardul Thakur as his replacement.

Also, Suryakumar Yadav was dropped due to a back spasm, and Ishan Kishan came in as his replacement and opened the inning with KL Rahul. Notably, Rohit Sharma was pushed down to bat at number 3. Batting first Indian batters failed to perform well, and they scored only 110 runs in 20 overs.

Defending the target except for Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy, all other bowlers looked clueless, and New Zealand completed the chase in 14.3 overs.

Now the Virat Kohli-led side have to win the upcoming 3 games and will have to depend on the results of other teams to make it to the semi-finals.
