Match No.37 of the T20 World Cup will be played between India and Scotland at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in UAE. Both teams are on the verge of exit and their fate in the tournament depends on how others fare.

After two crushing defeats in their first two games, the Indian team found its mojo against Afghanistan. The openers, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma, finally came to the party, stitching a 140-run stand. Virat Kohli’s men managed to put up 210 on the board eventually, the highest of the tournament so far.

It was way too much for the Afghan batting order to handle, and they crashed to a 66-run defeat. With the big win, India boosted its net run rate to +0.073 but they still lag behind New Zealand and Afghanistan. Going into this game, the Men in Blue need a huge win to get their run rate even higher.

As for Scotland, they are mathematically in with a chance but the odds are stacked against them. They’ve lost all their three matches so far and only have pride to play for in a realistic scenario. They will look at it as a good platform to express themselves with a ton of viewership expected for the game.

The Scottish side gave the Black Caps a run for their money in the previous game. Chasing 173, Kyle Coetzer and co. managed to stay in the game but fell short by 16 runs. They were outclassed by a stunning 56-ball 93 from Martin Guptill and were actually in with a chance at certain stages. However, it wasn’t to be.
