T20 World Cup 2021: Mentor MS Dhoni Spends Quality Time With Rishabh Pant Ahead Of The New Zealand Clash

Legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni who is also the mentor of Team India in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 was seen spending quality time with wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant in Dubai ahead of the clash against Kane Williamson-led New Zealand.

MS Dhoni has been providing his knowledge and experience to the team in the T20 World Cup 2021 without charging any honorarium. Earlier some reports also suggested that Dhoni’s presence in the dressing room has made a cool and calm environment for the youngsters.

Meanwhile, recently Dhoni was spotted with the wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, Dhoni helped Pant in fine-tuning his skills and also had a brief discussion with him on how the youngster can improve. The ANI reports stated:

“Rishabh Pant has always called MS Dhoni his mentor and the Team India mentor spent quality time with the youngster at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Saturday going into the game against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup on Sunday. Dhoni not only fine-tuned Pant’s keeping skills but also shared his knowledge with the young cricketer as they took small breaks during the session to discuss how Pant can improve further”

MS Dhoni And Rishabh Pant Had A Long Chat After The Session

The reports further added that Dhoni was having a chat with Pant walking back to the nets after the session and Pant was quietly listening to the things explained by his mentor.

“It was interesting to see how they had a chat walking back to the nets after the session with Dhoni doing most of the talking and Pant being the keen student. After all, it is not often that players get to spend time with Dhoni ever since he hung his boots as an international cricketer last year on August 15.” As reported by ANI
