Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar revealed his India playing XI for the high-profile battle against Pakistan; experienced campaigner Ravichandran Ashwin could not get a slot in Manjrekar’s India XI.

India National Cricket Team is placed in the Group 2 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 along with Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia. The Men In Blue will begin their Super12 journey with a battle against Pakistan arch-rivals on 24 October in Dubai.

Virat Kohli-led side has won both of their warm-up games in the T20 World Cup 2021. India comfortably chased down the target in the warm-up game against England and Australia at ICC Academy Ground.

On the other hand, Babar Azam-led side won the first warm-up game comfortably against West Indies and lost the other warm-up battle against South Africa.

Notably, Pakistan has never defeated India in the World Cup encounters, whether it is a T20 World Cup or a 50-over World Cup. India has a 12-0 lead against arch-rivals Pakistan in the World Cups.

Just like experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, the experienced Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was not part of Sanjay Manjrekar’s Playing XI for the high-voltage clash.

Manjrekar included Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy in place of Ashwin and all-rounder Shardul Thakur in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
