T20 World Cup 2021: Super 12 Points Table After Bangladesh vs India & Scotland vs Namibia

In the 20th match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 Eoin Morgan-led England National Cricket Team locked horns with Mahmudullah-led Bangladesh National Cricket Team at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, October 27. Notably, England won the match comfortably by 8 wickets.

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the start was not very good for the team as openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim were sent back to the pavilion by spinner Moeen Ali in the third over itself.

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who is having a great run in the World Cup was also unable to survive for a long time and he was dismissed by Chris Woakes in the 6th over.

Mushfiqur Rahim looked decent out in middle but he was dismissed by Liam Livingstone in the 11th over and he managed to score 29 runs. Afif Hossain was involved in a huge mixup with skipper Mahmudullah which resulted in the former getting run out in the 13th over. Also, Skipper Mahmudullah was unable to help his team and was dismissed in the 15th over. In the end, the Bangladesh team were able to post only 124 runs on the board.

Chasing the target England opener Jason Roy smashed brilliant 61 runs at the strike rate of 160.53 after he got out Dawid Malan (28*) and Jonny Bairstow (8*) marched England towards 8-wicket victory in the 15th over.

Gerhard Erasmus-led Namibia National Cricket Team went head-to-head with Richie Berrington-led Scotland National Cricket Team in the 21st match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Scotland team were low on confidence heading into the game as their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 winning streak ended against Afghanistan in the Super12 stage, they were defeated by a huge margin of 130 runs. Also the original skipper of the team Kyle Coetzer was ruled out of the game after suffering a finger injury.

Namibia won the toss and invited Scotland to bat first and Ruben Trumpelmann did an outstanding job by dismissing in-form opener George Munsey in the first ball of the innings. Trumpelmann didn’t stop there as he went on to dismiss Richie Berrington and Calum MacLeod in the same over that too on the duck. Scotland kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Michael Leask stood strong and scored a brilliant 44 off 27 balls to help the team post 109 runs on the board.

Chasing the target Namibia openers managed to add 28 runs before Safyaan Sharif dismissed Michael van Lingen in the last over of the powerplay. Zane Green also played a slow knock and lost his wicket in the 10th over. Gerhard Erasmus got out in the 12th over and Opener Craig Williams who was batting decently was unable to survive for long as Mark Watt dismissed him in the 12th over. In the end, JJ Smit (32*) marched Namibia towards a 4-wicket victory.
