The marquee T20 World Cup 2021 event is set to commence on 17 October and end on 14 November. Notably, The matches will be played in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman across different venues.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which Mahmudullah Riyad will lead, failed to make the entry in Super 12s through direct qualifications.

Bangladesh is placed in Group B of the Round 1 of the T20 World Cup 2021 alongside Papua New Guinea National Cricket Team, Scotland National Cricket Team, Oman National Cricket Team. They will be commencing their World Cup journey with a battle against Scotland National Cricket Team on October 17.

Team Bangladesh has some very good experienced campaigners on the side, and they will be hoping for an easy entry into the Super 12s by winning Round 1.

Bangladesh has enjoyed immense success in the last few T20Is series they played at home. Notably, The Bangla Tigers thrashed Australia National Cricket Team by 4-1 and then went on to win the 5-match series against New Zealand National Cricket Team by 3-2.

So far, in the six editions of the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh had never made it into the finals of the tournament, even in the 2014 World Cup when they were hosting the tournament. Meanwhile, with the momentum on their side, Bangladesh will be hoping for a better outcome this time in T20 World Cup 2021.
