Former Pakistan Captain Waqar Younis has said that wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan doing namaz during the India-Pakistan ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 clash in front of Hindus was the best thing he saw after the match.

For the very first time, Pakistan were able to defeat India in the World Cup encounter, the Babar Azam-led side completely outperformed Virat Kohli-led India and won the one-sided match by 10 wickets. Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) chased down the target of 152 comfortably and Indian bowlers looked clueless.

Meanwhile, during the drink break of India vs Pakistan World Cup clash wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan read namaz on the ground and the video was circulated on social media platforms.

During the discussion about the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup 2021 clash on ARY News channel, Younis lauded openers Rizwan and Babar Azam for the amazing batting display in the match. He stated:

The manner in which Babar and Rizwan batted, sensible yet aggressive, the strike-rotation, the look on their faces, it was amazing.”

Further, the former Pakistani pacer added that the best thing he saw was Rizwan doing namaz on the ground. Younis stated:

The best thing, what Rizwan did, Mashalla, he offered the Namaz on the ground surrounded by Hindus, that was really something very very special for me.”

Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar, who was part of the TV discussion, was seen smiling at the statement made by Younis.

Meanwhile, previously the Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad had said that Muslims of India and the whole world supported Pakistan in the match against India and that victory was the “victory of the Muslim world.”. He stated:

I want to congratulate the whole of Pakistan on this resounding victory (against India in T20 Qualifier match). I salute the Pakistan team for decimating its arch-rival in an exemplary display of grit, determination and courage. Pakistan has showcased its righteousness before the Muslim world. This is the only India Vs Pakistan match that I could not attend owing to Ministerial work,
