Bangladesh Qualification Scenario- How Bangladesh Can Qualify For T20 World Cup Semi-Final?

Bangladesh takes on Pakistan in their final Super 12 game on Sunday in Adelaide with an eye on the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022. South Africa’s loss to the Netherlands means that the winner of the BAN vs PAK game will make it through to the semi-final. Pakistan is also in with an equal chance of making the semis as are the Bangla Tigers. It is a virtual knockout game between the two teams in Adelaide.

“It’s been the story when we play against India, we are almost there but we don’t finish the line. Both teams enjoyed it, it was a great game and that’s what we wanted. At the end, someone has to win and someone has to lose.” said Shakib after the narrow loss to India. Their loss to India became a talking point gaming the many that have been so in this tournament so far.

How Bangladesh Can Qualify For T20 World Cup Semi-Final

Bangladesh began its campaign with a win over the Netherlands in its first game. They then lost to South Africa by 104 runs as the NRR took a beating. They then won a thriller against Zimbabwe by three runs and then went down to India in another close thriller. Both sides have not played consistent cricket so far. Bangladesh especially had their chance to topple India but could not survive the pressure. Now playing their last game against Pakistan, all they need to qualify for the semifinal is to win the match

Bangladesh finished last in their Group in the 2021 T20 World Cup. They lost all their five games and finished last on the table to cap off a forgetful campaign. This year, however, they have been far more competitive and played some good cricket up to this point.

Meanwhile, India have already qualified for the semis after South Africa’s ouster to the Netherlands. They will be facing England in the second semifinal in Adelaide on November 10. The Men in Blue take on Zimbabwe in their last Super 12 match later in the day.
