ICC T20 World Cup 2022: "Fair To Say Bowlers Are Getting Hit Around The Park But…": Ravichandran Ashwin On India's Bowling Attack Ahead Of T20 World Cup

Indian Cricket Team has arrived in Australia. BCCI has taken a good step by sending India right after the conclusion of the South Africa T20I Series. Getting acclimatized to Australian Conditions is very important to have a great T20 World Cup in Australia.
India would be disappointed as they are without Jasprit Bumrah. The speedster would have made the batters dance on his tone on fast and bouncy pitches. BCCI has to name a replacement for Bumrah quickly as the last date to make any changes to the squad is 16th October.
Ravichandran Ashwin on Bowling
Ravichandran Ashwin was seen addressing a press conference in Australia and was asked about bowling in T20I Cricket. “Look we can get caught up with what happens in T20 games and in bilateral series back at home,” said Ashwin.
“It’s only fair to say the bowlers are getting hit around the park but we also need to understand the boundaries are very close to the 30-yard circle in India. When we come to Australia, the boundaries are far bigger, gives the bowlers a bit of license to work with,” said the off-spinner
“It’s also very important to understand these conditions, the lengths you have to bowl and be brave enough to take those 50-50 options in these places,” he added
“It’s a completely new experience, just start fresh, start the book completely new,” he concluded.
Ravichandran Ashwin A Great Asset
The right-arm off-spinner can be the X factor for India in the tournament. The spinner has developed a lot of variations and has become a mystery spinner for the team. The management may use him as a floater to surprise the opposition as he is a handy batter too.
Ashwin should be used in 3 spells as he has the knack of picking wickets. Ashwin should not be benched like last year’s T20 World Cup 2021. This T20 World Cup may not be of spinners but the spinners can create havoc due to long boundaries.
