Afghanistan Cricket Team has dealt with a huge blow as their star batter Hazratullah Zazai is out of the tournament. The left-handed batter has been an integral part of the team. The batter has the knack of surprising the opponent with his swift stroke play.
Afghanistan is yet to win a match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The team has looked a bit off-color as their game plan of playing with 3 spinners hasn’t been productive. Afghanistan has been quite unfortunate as one of their New Zealand match was washed out.
Gulbadin Naib Replaces Hazratullah Zazai
The all-rounder Gulbadin Naib has been named the replacement for Zazai. Zazai has been ruled out due to abdominal and kidney concerns. The left-handed batter had scored 7 runs against England. It would be interesting to see whether Gulbadin gets to open the innings as he is a batter who can provide lusty blows at the back end of the innings.
Great Chance for Afghanistan
Afghanistan is all set to lock horns against Australia on 4th November (Friday). Australia would be hoping for a thumping victory that will keep them in good stead in the race for the Semi-Finals. The Skipper Nabi would be hoping that the batters put on a better performance as scoring 130-odd runs won’t win too many matches.
Australia on the other hand would be aware that they can’t get complacent. The Defending Champions may have won the match against Ireland convincingly but still, there are a lot of loopholes present in the team. The Team would be worried about the form of Mitchell Starc as the speedster is getting whacked all around the park.
