ICC T20 World Cup 2022: "I Didn't Get It" - Michael Clarke Furious Over Mitchell Starc's Non-Selection

Australian Cricket Team surprisingly has left out Mitchell Starc from the playing 11 against Afghanistan and has included Kane Richardson in the team. Australia not only has to win the match but win with a bigger margin due to the NRR of -0.30 whereas England’s NRR is +0.54. The Defending Champions are in a precarious position at the moment.
Afghanistan on the other hand has got nothing to lose as they are out of the tournament. It won’t be wrong to say that they were unfortunate as their 2 matches were washed out. The team would be aiming to create one of the biggest upsets in the history of the T20 World Cup.
Michael Clarke on Mitchell Starc
Michael Clarke made some interesting comments on Starc’s non-selection and was seen in a conversation with Harsha Bhogle.
“Strange one Harsha, strange one. He’s got to be injured. There’s absolutely no way you can leave him out of tonight’s game. If anyone’s going to rip through Afghanistan’s batting it’s Mitchell Starc.
“Left-arm, if it swings with the new ball and then we’ve seen his yorkers at the death. I don’t get it,” said Michael Clarke.
Vital Match for Australia
Australia is without their captain Aaron Finch as he is out due to an injury and in his place, Matthew Wade will captain the side. The dashing wicket-keeper batter would be tested as he doesn’t have much experience in captaining the team. It would be interesting to see how he rotates the bowlers.
In the absence of Starc, Pat Cummins will have to make sure that he provides breakthroughs at crucial junctions of the match. The right-arm speedster has been under the pump as he has been quite expensive.
