IND vs BAN: 3 Indian Players Who Didn’t Deserve A Spot In India Squad For Bangladesh Tests

3. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav is the first player on this list. Kuldeep Yadav is one of the spinners in the IND vs BAN Test series. However, his selection in the Test squad is quite surprising as he has not played any Test match over the last 1 year.

The left-arm spinner last played a Test match in February 2021 in the Test series against England. He picked just 2 wickets in 2 Tests and failed to come up with an impressive show in the series.

2. Axar Patel

Axar Patel is another player on this list. Axar Patel has been picked as a spin all-rounder in the squad for the IND vs BAN Test series. In 6 Tests so far, he has picked 39 wickets at an average of 12.43. However, in 2022, he only played 1 Test match in which he picked 3 wickets.

With the bat, he scored just 18 runs in the match. In the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 too, Patel has failed to grab attention with both bat and bowl. Hence, he faces issues with his form currently and needs to work on his performance.

1. Cheteshwar Pujara

Cheteshwar Pujara is another Indian player who didn’t deserve to be part of the India squad for the IND vs BAN Test series. The right-handed batsman was ruled out of the team earlier this year from Tests, after back-to-back poor performances with the bat.

However, he made a comeback in the Test series against England in July this year. He scored 66 and 13 in 2 innings. His last Test century came in January 2019, when he shattered 193 runs against Australia. In 2022, Pujara averages 31.16 across 6 games.
