Indian Cricket Team would be ecstatic after winning 4 matches out of 5 in the Group Stage, The team has shown great fighting spirit as making a comeback after the South Africa defeat was not easy. Skipper Rohit Sharma has been marshaling his troops and has looked calm in his approach.
England would sense that they have a great chance to beat India. The Britishers’ strength is their bowling as they have got a lot of bowling options that can surprise the opposition. It won’t be wrong to say that Mark Wood would be key to England’s success as he has got express pace which can rattle the opponent.
Jos Buttler on Rohit Sharma
Jos Buttler was having an interaction with Sunday Times and was asked about Rohit Sharma. “They are a brilliant team and Rohit Sharma is a brilliant captain who I think has asked them to play more positively and with more freedom. I was a bit young in my IPL journey, but tactically I thought he was very good, making good decisions but not always the obvious ones.” said Buttler.
“He has that sense of calm when everything around him is going on at a million miles an hour. A bit like when he bats, he makes it look pretty effortless.” he added.
Enthralling Contest on Cards
Indian Cricket Team’s prowess is their batting as they can pile on huge runs on the board. The rise of Suryakumar Yadav has meant that there is no added pressure and responsibility on the shoulders of Virat Kohli. Suryakumar has scored 3 half-centuries and has taken the World Cricket by storm.
All eyes would be on the silent assassin Sam Curran as he has the knack of picking wickets at crucial junctions of the match. There are also chances that England may use him as a floater as Dawid Malan is unlikely to feature against India. It would be interesting to see whether England’s middle order peaks or not as the duo Buttler and Hales won’t give a solid start every time.
