IND vs NED: Anil Kumble Backs Arshdeep Singh To 'Do Wonderful Things' For India And Compares Him With Zaheer Khan

Indian Cricket Team’s Speedster Arshdeep Singh was lethal against Pakistan. The left-arm pacer took 3 ley wickets against Pakistan and all of a sudden created havoc against the Men in Green. Pakistan batters took Arshdeep Singh lightly in the marquee clash.
The pacer had rattled the South African batting lineup in the recently concluded T20I Series. Arshdeep is expected to be the next big thing in World Cricket as he has good control over line and length. The management would be thrilled as Arshdeep got them early wickets.
Anil Kumble on Arshdeep Singh
Anil Kumble was seen interacting with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about Arshdeep Singh. “I was really impressed with Arshdeep, how he’s come through. I worked with him for three years and I could see the kind of development that he has had in the T20 format, and last year’s IPL was a classic example of how he handled the pressure.” said Kumble.
“So yes, Arshdeep has certainly matured and I’d like to see him carry on. Probably what Zak [Zaheer Khan] did for India, I expect Arshdeep to go on to do some wonderful things for India.” added Kumble.
India on a Roll
The way Men in Blue won the match says a lot about the team’s dynamics. India wouldn’t have asked for a better start to the tournament where now they have got the self-belief back as defeating Pakistan was not an easy task.
The Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma would be aware that the team can’t get complacent. The skipper Rohit Sharma needs to lay the foundation for the middle-order batters. Every time, Virat Kohli won’t bail out the team as winning championships requires teamwork.
