Indian Cricket Team pulled off a heist against Pakistan. The Men in Blue won the match by 4 wickets and stunned Pakistan as chasing 48 runs in 3 overs is never an easy task in modern cricket. This victory would be quite incredible as smashing Pakistan’s fast bowlers on a bowling pitch doesn’t happen too often.

Pakistan on the other hand would be dejected as they made a mess out of the match. Babar Azam would be questioned for keeping a spinner back for the 20th over in a high-voltage match. The skipper should have squeezed a couple of overs from Iftikhar Ahmad.

Virat Kohli once again showed why he is still one of the best in modern Cricket. The batter smashed 82 runs in 53 balls and struck 6 fours and 4 sixes. At one stage, India’s score was 31-4 in 6.1 overs and it looked like India would lose the match by a big margin.

The batter got ample support from the flamboyant all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The duo was involved in a 113 runs partnership and was quite instrumental in the run chase.

It’s a surreal atmosphere, I have no words- Virat Kohli

During the post-match presentation, Virat Kohli was asked about the match.

It’s a surreal atmosphere, I have no words, no idea how that happened. I am really lost for words.

“Hardik believed we can do it, if we stayed till the end. When Shaheen bowled from the pavilion end, that’s when we decided to take him down. Haris is their prime bowler, and I hit those two sixes,” said Virat.

The Calculation was Simple- Virat Kohli

“The calculation was simple. Nawaz had one over to bowl, so if I could take Haris down, they would panic. From 28 in 8, it came down to 16 to 6. I tried to stick to my instincts. The first one was back of a hand-slower ball (the one over long-on). Standing here I just feel like it was meant to be.” he added.

Today the best innings- Virat Kohli

“Till today Mohali was my best innings against Australia. Today I will count this one higher. Hardik kept pushing me. The crowd has been phenomenal. You guys (fans) kept backing me and I am grateful for your support,” concluded Virat.
