IND vs PAK: John Buchanan Heaps Praise On Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan

Pakistan Cricket Team is coming back off a successful T20 Tri-Series triumph against New Zealand. The Men in Green are looking ominous at the moment as winning in New Zealand is never an easy task. It won’t be wrong to say that the team has started to peak at the right moment.

Pakistan would be well aware of the fact that the duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan can’t win the championship alone. They need some sort of support from the rest of the batters. This problem has been going on for quite some time. The team has a very bad habit of falling like a pack of cards due to which all of their hard work gets ruined.

The Former Australian Head Coach was having an interaction with News18 Cricket Next and was asked about Babar and Rizwan. “If we just looked at the most recent game, Pakistan vs England T20I series, Babar Azam and Rizwan is a pretty imposing open combination. If, if they’re allowed to, to gain, some momentum in the tournament, it really lights down,” said Buchanan.

Stern Test for Pakistan

Pakistan batters would be tested in Australian boundaries as clearing the fence is not that easy. The inclusion of Fakhar Zaman in the squad means that Pakistan has got a powerful hitter present who can decimate the opponent. The left-handed batter is someone who can hold the innings if there is a collapse.

Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq and Skipper Babar Azam need to make sure that they are sticking to one combination. They should make Shadab Khan bat at the No.4 position as the all-rounder is capable of smashing an odd boundary which is priceless in T20I Cricket.
