Pakistan Cricket Team clinched the Tri-Series and made a statement that they are not done yet. The Men in Green defeated New Zealand in the finale and were looking ominous. This victory would have given them self-belief for the upcoming clash against India in T20 World Cup 2022.

Pakistan would be well aware of the fact that they are still dependent on Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. Mohammad Nawaz in the last two matches has been playing blinders. In the match against Bangladesh, he scored an unbeaten 45 runs in 20 balls and 38 runs in 22 balls against New Zealand. The all-rounder has been in sublime form and looks like a trump card for the team.

Mohammad Nawaz on India vs Pakistan Match

During the post-match press conference, Nawaz made an interesting comment on the upcoming high-voltage clash. “India ke against pressure match hota hai. Jab aap uss match me perform karte hain, toh baaki match, as compared to India game, easy hote hain. But journey uss se pehle se hi start ho gayi thi. Main South Africa se leke jitni bhi series hui haim, main usme chhote chhote cameos deta raha hu. (It’s always a pressure match against India. When you perform there, it becomes easier against other opponents. But my journey had begun with the series against South Africa, I had been playing cameos since then),” said Nawaz.

Tough Task for Pakistan

Indian Cricket Team has started to peak. Their recent T20I Series victories against Australia and South Africa have made them a powerful unit. The Men in Blue would be a completely different team when they lock horns against Pakistan as they have rediscovered their mojo.

Pakistan on the other hand has shown signs of improvement. Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq and Skipper Babar Azam should now stick to one combination rather than playing musical chairs. In a short tournament, the team needs to start well as a couple of losses can ruin all the hard work of the team.
