IND vs PAK: "Mohammed Shami Is A Good Replacement For Jasprit Bumrah"- Madan Lal

Indian Cricket Team has been facing a lot of injuries at the moment. The Men in Blue are without their two-star players: Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. The absence of Bumrah can hurt India a lot as the pacer could have been lethal in Australian conditions where the pacers get a lot of assistance.

The Men in Blue would be hoping that Mohammed Shami hits form immediately. The veteran speedster hasn’t played a single T20I match since the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2021. His absence was quite questionable as the pacer had a pretty decent IPL 2022 for his franchise Gujarat Titans where he took 20 wickets for them.

Madan Lal on Mohammed Shami

Madan Lal was having an interaction with IANS and was asked about Mohammed Shami. “Shami is a good choice to replace Jasprit Bumrah for the World Cup, as he can give India wickets in the early phase of the innings,” said Madan.

“Definitely, the loss of Bumrah is a big blow but the team can’t keep thinking about it. All the 15 members who have been picked have done well for India, so we need to trust and back them,” he added.

Mohammad Shami Invaluable

The veteran speedster knows how to bowl in Australian Conditions as he was a part of the 2015 World Cup. That tournament was one of the best for Shami where he used to make the batters dance on his tone. The pacer can help the likes of Arshdeep & Harshal as bowling in Australia is a completely different ball game.

The management has a big conundrum as to whether to go for Shami or Harshal. Both of them are quite good at the back end of the innings, but Shami has the knack of being the partnership breaker. He can easily change the dynamics of the match with a one-over spell.
