Indian Cricket Team is in great form at the moment. The team recently thumped Australia and South Africa in the T20I Series which was quite a big achievement. The Men in Blue once again is looking threatening as now they have got most of their bases covered.
The Management would be aware of the fact that the team should not get complacent as a couple of losses can ruin all the hard work of the team. The billion people were shattered in the last T20 World Cup 2021 as there was no intent from the players.
Zaheer Khan on India
Zaheer Khan was seen interacting with Cricbuzz and was asked about India’s chances in T20 World Cup 2022.
“Obviously I’m going to go with India. Yes, there have been some talks of some key players, Bumrah being injured and what’s going to happen with the bowling but still I feel it with the consistency they’ve shown for the last few years, I think definitely are going to be the contender to be in the in the finals.”
Tough Task for India
The Men in Blue would be well aware of the fact that they haven’t won ICC T20 World Cup since the inception of IPL. The team has been making strides but failing in crucial junctions of the match which is hurting them a lot.
Skipper Rohit Sharma and Head Coach Rahul Dravid need to make sure that the team doesn’t take any opponent lightly. The duo will have to be spot on with their selection as making experiments at this stage would be quite risky. India’s main problem is that their bowlers are not picking wickets at regular intervals due to which the batting team gets back into the game.
