The Men in Blue are high on confidence after winning back-to-back matches in the marquee tournament. The team is looking ominous and is one step close to making it to the Semi-Final stage. India would be banking on the skipper Rohit Sharma to play a scintillating knock against South Africa.
The skipper has looked threatening as he struck a terrific half-century against the Netherlands. The batter knows how to switch gears which makes him a dangerous asset. It would be interesting to see whether he changes his batting approach against the Proteas.
Rohit Sharma Achieves a Feat
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has now played most matches in the history of T20 World Cups. The right-handed batter now has appeared in 36 matches and he has been a part of the team since the 2007 T20 World Cup. Rohit has surpassed Legendary Sri Lankan batter Tillakaratne Dilshan as the former cricketer had played 35 matches.
Crucial Match for India
The winner of India vs South Africa will most likely qualify for the Semi-Final. India would be quite aware of the fact that South Africa will be a steep challenge as they have got a powerful bowling lineup. It won’t be wrong to say that it’s the battle between South African pacers vs Indian batters.
South Africa would be booming with confidence as they completely outplayed Bangladesh. The resurgence of Rilee Rossouw at the top of the order has meant that the rest of the batters can bat around him. It would be interesting to see whether the management makes the skipper Temba Bavuma bat in the middle order as the batter has looked off-colour.
