Adelaide Oval will host the NZ vs IRE match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on November 4. The Kiwis are undefeated in the tournament so far. They will play a crucial game against England before playing against Ireland. New Zealand, Australia, and England are the top three teams in the Group 1 points table at the moment.

Ireland lost to Sri Lanka, beat England and was defeated by Australia again. Their game against Afghanistan was washed out due to rain. New Zealand, on the other hand, registered comfortable victories over Australia and Sri Lanka.

Irish skipper Andrew Balbirnie was disappointed with their performance against Australia. He thought that they had the Aussies under pressure but could not quite work on that advantage.

“I think we bowled quite well, and generally here at the Gabba in night games when it gets dry, it’s generally a good chasing wicket. I mean, our powerplay was excellent, and we certainly put them on the back foot. I think they tried to stay aggressive and batted quite well throughout the innings” said Balbirnie.

He also praised his keeper-batsman who scored 71 and played a lone hand in the chase. None of the other batters could score anything substantial for the team.

“He (Tucker) played quite well. Made the use of the short boundary straight. Struck it quite nice. He moved around the crease a bit and kept coming at us. He is someone that plays that lap. Really didn’t get it in the right area enough to him. We also dropped him on about 30, so not sure if it is a drop if you don’t get a hand on it” Balbrnie said onTucker.
