PAK vs SA: "He Is One Shot Away From Returning To Form" - Shadab Khan Backs Babar Azam

After facing back-to-back defeats, Pakistan eventually had success against the Netherlands in the present T20 World Cup’s Super 12 round, defeating the Netherlands by a margin of six wickets. The performance of Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam is another huge worry for the team, in addition to the two defeats.
Babar Azam has so far failed to put on a strong showing in the present T20 World Cup, only managing to receive scores of 0, 4, and 4. Many former cricket players and fans have blasted Babar for his appalling performance. The Pakistani captain has, however, received encouragement from Shadab Khan, a teammate.
We Have To Support Babar Azam: Shadab Khan
Babar is a “world-class player,” according to Shadab, who gave an outstanding performance in the match against the Netherlands, recording figures of 3/22 in 4 overs. Shadab advised people not to worry about Babar’s performance.
“He is a world-class player, no doubt, but he is human also. Sometimes, he makes mistakes, but he is our leader; he is our best captain. He supported us, so we have to support him now.
“It’s just three games; no one should worry about his form because he is a world-class player,” Cricket Pakistan quoted Shadab as saying during the post-match press conference.
“He is one shot away from returning to form. Like Rizwan today, he scored runs. So hopefully, Babar scores for us in the next game. The next game is a big one, so hopefully, he will score runs for the team,” he added.
Pakistan’s first two games were disappointing losses to Zimbabwe and India. The 2009 World Champions will now play South Africa in their upcoming Super 12 match of the 2017 T20 World Cup on Thursday after defeating the Netherlands.
