ICC Womens All-Rounder Rankings

The ICC Women's allrounders rankings ranks the allrounders of international women's cricket on the basis of a point-based system. The players are rated on a scale of 0 to 1000.

To rank the allrounders, the ICC has developed an allrounder index where not only the player's performance but several other factors are also taken into account.  At first, the player's performance is concerned. The player's batting and bowling points are multiplied before the result is divided by 1000.

For example, if a player has 800 batting and 0 bowling points, she will get an index of zero as she cannot bowl and thus cannot be called an allrounder. In another example, a player with 600 batting and 200 bowling points will get a rating of 120.

Apart from the player's performance, a number of other factors are taken into account too such as the quality of the opposition team, the match conditions as well as the importance of the match. A good performance in a match like the World Cup final will definitely help the player earn better points than her performance in a bilateral match.

The ICC releases the ICC Women's allrounders rankings regularly for both the white-ball formats in women's cricket. The ranking is updated every Tuesday. At present, South Africa's Marizanne Kapp is the number one ODI allrounder in the world while West Indies' Hayley Matthews is the top-ranked allrounder in T20Is.
