West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team were seen celebrating after India Women’s National Cricket Team lost the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 battle against South Africa Women’s National Cricket Team.

Mithali Raj-led India lost their final group stage game in a thriller encounter against South Africa by 3 wickets at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch on Sunday, Mar 27, 2022, to get knocked out of the tournament.

Notably, the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team were dependent on the results of Sunday’s group stage matches – England vs Bangladesh and India vs South Africa to make it to the semi-finals.

England Women’s National Cricket Team were successful in attaining a 100-run victory over Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team to seal a spot in the semi-finals. Also, with India’s loss in the battle against South Africa, West Indies managed to enter the semi-finals.

After the Mithali Raj-led India Women’s National Cricket faced a heartbreaking 3-wicket defeat in the thriller battle, the West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team were seen celebrating in their dressing room.

Notably, West Indies and India won the same number of matches in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022, which was 3 wins out of 7 games. However, India faced one extra defeat than West Indies as the match between West Indies and South Africa had no result.

After qualifying for the semi-finals the West Indies team will lock horns with undefeated Australia on March 30 ( Wednesday ) at the Basin Reserve. Also, South Africa will lock horns with England on March 31 (Thursday) at the Hagley Oval.
