According to reports, India vs Australia Test series 2024-25 will commence in November later this year. India will tour Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and play a total of five matches during the series.

Recently, India outplayed England 4-1 in the Test series at home. India and Australia are the top two teams in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. Notably, both are also the finalists of the last WTC cycle, with Australia winning the trophy by defeating India in the WTC 2023 final.

The India vs Australia 1st Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 will commence on November 22 in Perth. The next encounter will be a day-night game in Adelaide, scheduled to be played from December 6 to 10.

The India vs Australia 3rd and 4th Tests will be played in Gabba and MCG respectively. The final 5th Test will be played in Sydney next year, from January 3 to 7. Check the schedule for the India vs Australia Test series below.

Australia takes the 2nd spot in the WTC points table with a win percentage of 62.50. Australia has won 8 games, lost 3, and drawn 1 out of 12 they played. Notably, both Australia and India have played their 3 series out of 6 in World Test Championship 2023-25.

Australia last played a Test series against West Indies in December-January. The series ended in a 1-1 tie after West Indies scripted history on Australian soil by winning a Test match after 27 years. Earlier, Pat Cummins & Co. outplayed Pakistan 3-0 at home and retained Ashes 2023 against England 2-2.

India has won last 4 Border-Gavaskar trophies

On the other hand, India tied a Test series against South Africa 1-1 before their recent series against England. Earlier in August last year, the Rohit Sharma & Boys defeated West Indies 1-1-0 in a two-match Test series.

India vs Australia Test series will be a thrilling and exciting series to look upon. Notably, India has won the previous four Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia. The previous series took place in India last year, where India won 2-1 under captain Rohit Sharma. Interestingly, Team India has also grabbed two back-t0-back BGT titles in Australia.
