South Africa takes on New Zealand in the second Test in Hamilton from February 13-17. They lost the first Test and are railing in the series.

South Africa have played just three Test matches in this WTC campaign so far. They have won just one Test match and lost two with the latest defeat against New Zealand.

South Africa were bowled out for 162 and 247 in the first Test. Heading into the second Test, they will need to strengthen their batting lineup with sizeable contributions in the next Test match.

They have already named an inexperienced unit for the Test series and will need to manage their resources throughout the second Test. The bowling unit especially had to bear the brunt of the Kiwi batters who piled up a mammoth 511.

The batters too could not score too many runs and will need to put in a better effort. South Africa have won 26 out of the 48 Test matches played against New Zealand. However, with this squad, they have a very different proposition when they face New Zealand at home.

Given their performance in the first Test, with an inexperienced batting and bowling unit, they will need to put in a better effort to win the test match. They do not have the option of making too many chopping and changing as they have an inexperienced squad overall.
