Sri Lanka will face Pakistan in the second Test at Galle from July 24, Sunday. The hosts are trailing the series 0-1 and needs to win the Test match to level the series. The Test series is a part of the ongoing ICC WTC.
Pakistan will miss the services of Shaheen Afridi who has been ruled out of the second Test with a knee injury. The PCB has also come out with a statement confirming his absence from the game.

“He will stay with the Test side in Sri Lanka, where his initial rehabilitation and management will continue under the supervision of the team’s medical staff,” the PCB statement read.
The second Test in Galle will also be the 100th for Angelo Mathews. The former skipper has been a long-serving player for the national team and has also led the team across formats.

“Playing 100 Test matches is a remarkable thing. We want to give Angelo a memorable game. We will try our best and correct the mistakes” said Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne on the eve of Mathews’ 100th Test.
