Indian skipper Rohit Sharma named former South African pacer Dale Steyn as one of the most formidable bowlers he has ever faced in his cricket career. Rohit Sharma emphasized Dale Steyn’s exceptional work ethic, discipline, and ability to exploit the new ball.
Rohit Sharma is widely regarded as one of the best white-ball cricketers in modern-day cricket. The right-handed batsman achieved a significant milestone by becoming the second-fastest player to reach 10,000 ODI runs during the recently concluded Asia Cup.
The 36-year-old has been instrumental in Team India’s success across the formats, delivering consistent performances as an opener in international cricket. He will lead the Indian team in the much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023, which is set to begin on October 5.

“Dale Steyn has been one of the toughest bowlers to face. His work ethic, his discipline, and his ability with the new ball were always challenges, and I loved to play against him,” Rohit was quoted as saying by IANS.

Rohit Sharma revealed that his favorite Indian cricket ground is Eden Gardens, saying that he has achieved numerous milestones and fond memories throughout his career, including his debut, record-breaking scores, and IPL captaincy success.
“I made my India debut in Eden Gardens (in Test cricket) and scored 177 against West Indies, and then the highest ODI score of 264, and my IPL 100 was also there. I also have a Ranji Trophy 200 there. Beyond the scores, my first trophy as IPL captain came there, and another title as well. I love the stadium,” he said.
