Fans React To Suryakumar Yadav's Blitzkrieg In Indore ODI vs Australia

Suryakumar Yadav finished unbeaten on 72 off 37 deliveries as India piled a mammoth 399/5 against Australia in Indore. The venue lived up to its reputation of being a batting paradise. Australia now need 400 runs to level the series.

Two Indian batters scored centuries and two batters scored fifty-plus to take India to their highest score against Australia in ODI cricket. Shreyas Iyer (105) and Shubman Gill (104) set up the game for India with their 200-run stand for the third wicket.

It was then the SKY show as he took matters into his own hands and pummelled the Australian bowlers to all corners. He brought out his range of shots as the ball went into impossible directions due to SKY’s 360-degree batting.

He was slow to start off scoring just three off his first 8 deliveries, However, after hitting four back-to-back sixes to Cameron Green in the 44th over, SKY unleashed his beast mode against the Aussie bowlers. Green went for 26 runs off that over and ended with the third most expensive figures by an Australian bowler in ODIs as he went for 103 off his 10 overs.

The Indian batters hit a total of 18 sixes in the game with SKY hitting six off them. He scored at a strike rate of 194.59. Along with his six sixes he hit as many fours as well in his innings. Green also bowled the third-most expensive spell against India as SKY took a liking to him.

The batter made the most of his opportunity in the first two games scoring back-to-back fifties and in the process staking a claim for selection in the Indian XI in World Cup games.

It is important to remember here that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested for the first two games to allow the management to try out the other Indian batters and SKY so far has passed his test with flying colours.
