Harbhajan Singh Wants KL Rahul To Be Rested For The Third ODI Against Australia
KL Rahul has led the Indian side in the absence of Rohit Sharma during the first two matches of the IND Vs AUS ODI series. Rohit Sharma is back in the side for the third ODI and will take over the responsibility to lead the side.
In the first two ODIs, we saw a dominating performance by India in both batting and bowling. Mohammed Shami took a 5-wicket haul in the first ODI which was followed by some great batting by Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav with all of them reaching their half-century.
In the second ODI Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill, both put up a great showcase of shots as both of them scored a century which was followed by quickfire fifties from KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav respectively. India reached a mammoth total of 399/5 and Australia succumbed to the pressure getting all out on 217. The spin duo of Ashwin and Jadeja took three wickets each and bamboozled the Australian side sealing the series for India.
The third ODI is expected to see a lot of changes in the Indian playing XI as the likes of Rohit, Virat, and Hardik are back.
Former India Cricketer Harbhajan Singh feels that KL Rahul should be rested for this match as he has already proved his bit by scoring consistently and also leading the side to victory. “KL Rahul has played two matches and played well in both. As captain, he won both games. I feel he should be rested.” said Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan also predicted the playing XI for the third ODI

Harbhajan Singh’s Predicted XI For The Third ODI: Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.
Harbhajan rested KL Rahul and Shubman Gill for the third ODI which is somewhat logical given that both these batters have already proven their worth in the recent games. India will face Australia on 27th September at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. India has already won the series taking an unassailable lead of 2-0 and with the big guns back in the squad, India will be eyeing a clean sweep to boost up the morale for the World Cup.
