Suryakumar Yadav who walked out to bat at number six against Australia in the Indore ODI scored his fourth fifty and his second on the trot. He scored his fifty off just 25 deliveries showcasing a great array of shots.

Yadav whose position in the ODI team was always under the radar has stepped up in the last two games. Both the fifties have come in situations when it was needed most with him needing to prove that he is good to play ODI cricket. He was three off 8 balls at one point and now crossed his fifty in a jiffy.

He showcased his power-hitting skills in the 44th over against Cameron Green smacking him for four consecutive sixes. His first six was his classic flick over deep backward square leg which sailed into the stands.

Watch: Suryakumar Yadav’s Four Consecutive Sixes Against Cameron Green

Suryakumar Yadav scooped the next delivery from Green over fine leg to pick up his second six off the over. The ball cleared the boundary line by a long way. His third six off Green was over deep extra cover. His fourth six was over deep mid-wicket with SKY flicking it for a maximum.

Green was clever to bowl it outside his range to not get hit for the fifth consecutive six off the over. He went for 26 runs off the over and came back to dismiss KL Rahul in his next over.

Green went for 103 runs off his spell leaking runs at an economy of 10.30 and was the most expensive bowler in the game. Australia in the second ODI have benched Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc both of their star bowlers as the management is keen on experimenting with the other bowlers.

Meanwhile, India finished on 399/5 with Suryakumar Yadav remaining unbeaten on 72 off 37 balls. Australia now need a mammoth 400 runs to win and level the series.
