Kevin Pietersen brags about dismissing MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan counters him with Yuvraj Singh bouncer

Kevin Pietersen and Zaheer Khan are part of the commentator panel for the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series. The duo had a funny conversation with each other during the India vs England 2nd Test. During the chat, Kevin Pietersen bragged about getting MS Dhoni’s wicket in Tests.

To this, Zaheer Khan countered him by recalling how former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh dismissed him multiple times during his career. Kevin Pietersen and Zaheer Khan played against each other during their peak from 2000 to 2015.

While Pietersen is one of the top batters to play for England, Zaheer Khan was a legendary pacer for Team India. The left-arm pacer was the top pacer for India in the first decade of 2000 and was also part Indian team that won the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011.

Kevin Pietersen brags about dismissing MS Dhoni in Tests, Zaheer Khan reminds him of Yuvraj Singh

During the IND vs ENG 2nd Test, commentators Kevin Pietersen and Zaheer Khan had a fun conversation on Jio Cinema where they talked about their Test wickets. As Zaheer Khan recalled his 300th Test wicket, Pietersen bragged about getting MS Dhoni’s wicket in Tests. Notably in 2007, Pietersen got MS Dhoni as his second wicket in Tests.

Later in 2011, Dhoni also dismissed Kevin Pietersen to make him his first-ever wicket in Tests. Reacting to Pietersen, the Indian pacer recalled Yuvraj Singh to counter him. Kevin Pietersen: You know who else I’ve got in my pocket here? The great Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Right there, there he is next to Kamran Akmal.

Zaheer Khan: You know I met Yuvraj Singh recently and he was talking about Kevin Pietersen being there.

KP: Yeah, I knew it. I knew you were going to say that. Yuvraj got me a few times.

ZK: I remember him (Kevin) giving him (Yuvraj) a special nickname as well.

KP: Yeah, and he used it as his e-mail ID too for a while. We’ve had some great battles, some beautiful battles on the field and that’s what happens when you play for such a long time. The good thing is you can speak about it and have fun with it. It’s the same thing a guy like Ashwin would do with Ben Stokes when their careers are finished. They will be having a laugh, having a joke like this.

IND vs ENG Test series tied at 1-1 after two games

Meanwhile, Kevin Pietersen has flown back to England after the first two Tests between India and England. He was part of the commentator’s panel for two Tests. The IND vs ENG Test series is tied 1-1 after two games.

England crushed India by 28 runs in the 1st Test. Later, India bounced back with a 106-run victory in the 2nd Test. IND vs ENG 3rd Test will commence on Thursday, February 15 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
